Part of the On Sacred Ground Series done in the Curvismo style by the Master of Curvismo. This image is the third in the series which was inspired by authoress and singer Bonnie Jo Hunt who is depicted in the fifth painting of the series.

About Ricardo Chavez-Mendez
Born in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, self-taught artist, Ricardo Chavez-Mendez moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 28. The use of the airbrush for detail in his earlier work has earned him the nickname, "Dali of the Desert," by Airbrush Action Magazine, an apt comparison which he relishes. Ricardo is truly an extraordinary artist. Currently he is introducing the art form "Curvismo" or curvism by way of teaching and gaining a following into the movement. He is the official portrait artist of the Mariachi Spectacular de Albuquerque for the last 20 years. He also designed the official logo. Thank you, Norman, the whole series was inspired by a conversation I had with a dear friend of mine who is Lakota. She said we all come from the earth so if you see the whole series you can see that they seem to emanate from the ground. Three Moon Eagle is not an official piece of the series but it too was the beginning of the concept of this series. Thanks again for your comments!
